Wow.....home again after 3 weeks on the road and some great racing!
Tour de Toona was a great race and I'm glad they brought it back! I've heard so much about that race and it's history, so I was really excited when I was chosen to go which turned out extra beneficial to me because I won the longest stage of the race(crazy)! Our team won GC as well!!
Pennsylvania was beautiful countryside to ride through, the weather was perfect and the people were wonderful! This race also gave me my first experience racing with a helicopter following us and filming the race. I'm hearing that it will be a DVD or something? sometime soon.....we'll see
From that race, 3 of us flew directly to Bend, OR before the Cascade Cycling Classic which was awesome because Bend is AWESOME! The mountains are beautiful, the weather was a bit chilly before the race and the folks around there are really cool-oh and all the food there ROCKS!
Cascade was another great race for the team, we won GC again there as well and I won the criterium...so needless to say we are having FUN!!! :)
Next up is Charlotte, then some time in Asheville and on to Tour of Elk Grove.
In between all the racing, I watched the Tour, spent time with my teammates, ate some great food, slept a lot(we cyclists can do that ya know) and enjoyed seeing some folks I haven't seen in a while.
Miller is glad I'm home:) Boy o boy is he shedding-whoa! It's been raining every afternoon here, which is nice because it keeps things cool but it also brings out the bugs but not too many of em, so it isn't bad at all.
I fly out Friday to Charlotte and I'm looking forward to seeing my brother and sis-in-law:)
